This will give you a new dialogue line with children (excluding active followers and your adopted kids) that allows you to give them a gift (a toy, a children’s book or some sweets – it’s basically the same gifts you can give to your adopted kids already).
The basic idea was that you collect and find far more hearthfire dolls, sweetrolls, wooden swords or whatever during a playthrough than you could possibly give to your adopted kids. So why not give them to some random brats running around?
Those poor kids will be so grateful that a random stranger gives them a gift out of nowhere, that they will immediately fuck that random stranger…
